Adriatik Toska, a 57-year-old from the village of Bogdan in Berat, died yesterday evening after being accidentally shot with a firearm by his fellow villager Dhimitër Kuqi.
The incident has shocked the village, while the Police are working to clarify its circumstances.
The two fellow villagers had gone out to protect the corn fields from wild animals, mainly pigs, but unfortunately Adriatik Toska died.
Accidentally, Dhimitër Kuqi sensed movement among the crops and thought that wild boars had entered his field, so he immediately shot with the hunting rifle he was carrying.
Due to negligence, the Adriatic was injured.
The 57-year-old was rushed to the hospital with signs of life, after first aid was given at the scene, but he closed his eyes in the hands of the doctors.
