NAMES/ Mother and son from Belshi robbed apartments and shops in Përmet and

Mother and son, both Belshi, had moved towards Përmet and Tepelena, with the sole intention of stealing.

The police were able to discover and document 6 cases of theft by them, who robbed money from homes, bars, and places of worship.

Zybejte Uruci, 67, was arrested, while her son Lodian Uruci, 36, was declared wanted.

According to the police, mother and son studied the places and apartments they would rob and waited for the night to act.

They used strong objects to enter homes and buildings.

They stole valuables and sums of money from homes, bars, and places of worship; his accomplice was arrested, and a 36-year-old man (mother and son) was declared wanted.

6 cases of thefts committed in the cities of Memaliaj and Përmet during the months of May-September are solved and documented.

Items used during the thefts are seized.

The Tepelena Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Memaliaj Police Station, as a result of the work to prevent and combat criminal activities in the field of property and wealth theft, to shed light on previously occurred events and to bring the perpetrators to criminal responsibility, based on information provided by intelligence and operational work in the field, detained citizen ZU, 67 years old, resident of Belsh.

Also, her son, citizen LU, 36 years old, resident of Belsh, was declared wanted.

From the investigative actions it results that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, studied the places and apartments they stole from and operated in the late hours of the night.

Using items such as screwdrivers and crowbars, they committed various thefts in the cities of Memaliaj and Përmet, specifically:

04.05.2025, Vasjar village, Memaliaj – in the apartment of citizen P. Ll., gold jewelry and a large amount of money were stolen;

10.07.2025, Krahës village – in a religious building, a large amount of money was stolen;

07.08.2025, Sukë village, Përmet – in a religious building, a large amount of money was stolen;

23.08.2025, Petran village, Përme t – in the premises of citizen AL, a large amount of money was stolen;

04.09.2025, Memaliaj – a large amount of money was stolen from a place of worship and a bar.

As material evidence, 1 vehicle, 1 cell phone, and the items used to commit the thefts (crowbar and screwdriver) were seized.

Work is underway to capture the 36-year-old. Investigations are ongoing to uncover and document other thefts that may have been committed by these citizens.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, for further action, for the criminal offense of "Theft", committed in collaboration.
