The testimony given to the Durrës Police by the 18-year-old Italian woman who was sexually abused by 26-year-old Leonardo Preza, the latter a person with a previous criminal record, has been revealed.

According to her testimony, she was with friends at the hotel and then broke away from them and sat on the sun loungers opposite.

At this moment, she says, the 26-year-old approached her. It was 5:30 a.m. yesterday morning (September 5).

Despite the teenager's resistance, the 18-year-old says the young man physically attacked and sexually abused her.

"We were with friends during the night and also consumed alcoholic beverages. For a moment I left the group and sat on a sun lounger that was a few meters away from the hotel. This happened at around 5:30 am on September 5th. During this time, a person approached me and attacked me, and despite my attempts to defend myself, he raped me after I resisted. He then left. I came to you to file a report regarding this incident," the 18-year-old Italian woman told the police.

Based on her report, but also that of a police associate who had seen the presence of the person accused of rape, as well as the analysis of security cameras, 26-year-old Leonardo Preza was identified and arrested.

The latter, during police questioning, admitted to the relationship with the Italian woman, but according to him, it also happened at the 18-year-old's request.

On the other hand, the girl was taken to the hospital where she underwent a detailed medical examination.

She has marks on her hands, neck, and other parts that lead to the conclusion that she may have been raped.

The 18-year-old also underwent a visit to the gynecologist, which also serves as part of the investigation. The injuries, it is learned, were not serious, and the girl then left.
