Another case of group fraud and extortion while impersonating high state officials via the Signal platform, (the sensational scheme of the super wanted Florian Gjergji), has been hit by law enforcement bodies.

The police of Vlora announced today (September 6) that they finalized the coded operation "Notification", for "hitting a case of fraud of economic operators", trying to get 8 thousand euros from a local businessman who denounced them.

Three people were arrested, including a married couple and their accomplice.

The victim is known as an economic operator in the tourist area of ​​Himara, and the action was carried out with controlled delivery by the agents, ensnaring the suspects.

Police notification:

" The intervention was made after the denunciation by the administrator of a commercial entity in Himare, that they had asked him for a sum of money, during communications in the "Signal" application. As a result of the investigative actions carried out as part of this operation, the following citizens were identified and arrested: SD, 30 years old and KD(K.), 32 years old (wife), and DV, 27 years old, all three residents of Vlora". said the local police.

From the investigations so far, it appears that after they contacted the businessman through a phone number, "registered as the contact number of an official, in the "Signal" application, they also increased the credibility of their requests, in order to benefit from the amount of 8,000 euros.

As material evidence, 1 vehicle and 4 mobile phones were seized, while the active investigation continues to identify other citizens involved in this criminal activity.     

Also, the Local Directorate of the Vlora Police appealed to citizens to "immediately report any case of fraud or attempted fraud, in order to prevent such cases" .
