The history of the blood feud between two tribes
On January 7, 1994, Rrëshen was shocked by the murder of the head of Crimes, Ndue Kaza.
He was shot in the middle of the city by Dod Gjini, who fled the scene.
The press of the time reported that the murder occurred after the crime boss intervened to avoid escalating a conflict between two rival groups.
But, three days later, without the perpetrators being arrested and the families being reconciled, in Laç, the commissioner's brother took revenge, killing the two brothers Dod and Agustin Gjini. The incident occurred on July 3, 1997.
Witnesses said that two people participated in the assassination. After 4 years, the Court in Kurbin found Martin Kaza guilty in absentia, sentencing him to 22 years in prison.
