Jeton Lami, the 28-year-old boy, arrested for one of the most talked about events of recent times in the country, has asked for freedom again. In the Appeal, he tried to change the security measure because, according to him, he is not included in the charge that has been brought against him.

In fact, Lami, who was arrested while he was part of one of the elite teams of the State Police, requests and has requested earlier that the charges leveled against him be proven, as he denies the fact that he was in the service of the much-wanted Ervis Martinaj and all the more having saved him from the handcuffs of the State Police.

Lam is already in prison and there are a number of prosecutors trying to steal from him a testimony that could shed light on the mysterious disappearance of Ervis Martinaj, about whose fate nothing is publicly known yet.

In the Court of Appeal, a session was held yesterday to assess the security measure of Jeton Lam, the former agent of the "Fast" Search team. Lam did not appear, but his 2 defense lawyers were present at the session. They request the change of the security measure and his release as they claim that they have nothing to do with the incident, for which they are accused.

The lawyers claim that it is not proven by the Police, nor the Prosecutor's Office, that Jeton Lami accompanied Ervis Martinaj until the last moments, and they demand an examination of the footage to prove whether it is the same person or not.

The Tirana Appeal judge, relator Edlira Petri, after hearing the arguments, decided to leave the security measure "prison arrest" in effect.

Jeton Lami was arrested for abuse of office, being accused of helping Ervis Martinaj move while he was being searched. Meanwhile, on Sunday, September 18, he was transported from Saint Kolli Prison in Lezhë to Prison 302 in the capital.

Jeton Lami was arrested on August 24, 2022, while the issue of the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj and the involvement of the former operative Jeton Lami has been requested to be investigated by SPAK.

Police chiefs seem to be convinced of the details of the events, also claiming the transfer of the file from Kurbini to the special structure. One month after the mysterious disappearance of Ervis Martianaj, the Prosecutor's Office and the Police still have no alternative to this event./ Panorama
