The head of SPAK, Arben Dumani, accompanied by the prosecutor Enkelejda Millonai, arrived at the Presidency of the Assembly at 15:40.

At 16:00, the session of the Council of Mandates and Immunity starts to examine the request of the SPAK for the permission to authorize the arrest of the former deputy prime minister. The lawyers of the socialist deputy request the postponement of the hearing by 24 hours.

Therefore, Ahmetaj is not present in the Council, as he is suspected to be abroad. He will be represented by two defense lawyers Saimir Visha and Henrik Ligori.

The meeting will be held behind closed doors, due to investigative secrecy, which has been opposed by members of the opposition, who have stated that they will request a meeting with the presence of the media if a decision is not made today.
