Three Police officers in Korça have been suspended from duty after they allegedly manipulated the evidence of an accident with material damage, in order to protect the suspected perpetrator.

The three policemen K. SH., 32 years old, K. ZH., 27 years old, and OL, 25 years old, are suspected of falsifying the alcohol test against the cause of the accident, to blame the other driver.

AMP Notice:

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan Korçë Region) has implemented the Order of the Prosecution for the execution of the criminal decision of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korçë, which has decided the preventive measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or service public" for the following police officers:

- Deputy Commissioner K. SH., 32 years old, with the duty of Urban and Interurban Traffic Specialist in the Road Police Sector in DVP Korçë, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Forgery of documents" in collaboration.

- Inspector K. ZH., 27 years old, with the duty of Service Corps in the Road Police Sector in DVP Korçë, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Forgery of documents" in collaboration.

- Inspector OL, 25 years old, with the duty of Service Corps in the Road Police Sector in DVP Korçë, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Forgery of documents" in cooperation.

These police officers allegedly manipulated the evidence for an accident with material damage, as well as falsified an alcohol test, not applying it to the cause of the accident but to another person.

Investigations continue to identify other employees suspected of being involved, while the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction.
