The Prosecutor's Office of Dibra and the Internal Control Service at the Ministry of Justice have checked during the day the lists of prisoners who requested to be aired in Burrel Prison last day (Sunday).

After the blocking of a drone inside the air sector in Burrel prison, investigations are being carried out to find out the persons involved.

For this reason, the list of prisoners has been checked to confirm who are the high security convicts who on Sunday asked to be released, before the drone was caught by the prison police.


Meanwhile, the prosecutor of the case has ordered that the drone be sent to the scientific police in Tirana, where a computer expertise will be carried out because it is suspected that the drone was used to film the premises of the high security prison. The offense being investigated is that of bringing prohibited items into the prison.

The day before, the general directorate of prisons announced the discovery of the drone, adding to the tendency of criminal groups to film prison premises. Anila Hoxha reports that some of the high security prisons in Albania are equipped with radio jammers, to prevent the secret telephone communications of the convicts, and this measure has influenced the criminal groups not to use drones to introduce drugs into the cells.
