A 37-year-old man identified as Marash Mezhaj was arrested after he raped his wife and threatened her with a firearm.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the Police services, a possible criminal event in the family was prevented. The 37-year-old man who abused his wife and threatened her with a firearm was arrested.

A pistol firearm with a ready-to-fire cartridge, live ammunition and 5 radios suspected to be connected to Police radio waves were seized. Services of Police Station No. 5, based on the information received on the operative route that in the village of Kasalla a citizen was carrying a firearm and was abusing his wife, they immediately organized the work and finalized the police operation coded "Kasalla".

As a result, the citizen was caught and arrested in the act: - MM, 37 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Domestic violence". The MM citizen, yesterday evening, used violence against his wife and threatened her. When the police arrived, this citizen threw the pistol from the window of the apartment and tried to leave, but was handcuffed by the police. During the search around the apartment, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, a pistol with a cartridge ready for firing. During the search of the apartment, the Police found and confiscated military ammunition, a pistol holster like those of the Police and 5 radios which were suspected to link to the Police radio waves. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.", informs the Police
