New details have been revealed from the murder of father and son that happened yesterday in Shkodër, a serious crime that shocked not only the northwestern city, but the whole country. Gjokë Gurra, 57 years old, and his son Eduart Gurra, 31 years old, are the victims of this serious event in the village of Bruçaj, Pult unit in Dukagjin.

Both were going with their SUV towards the burnt house in Dukagjin two days ago. Before arriving at the burned-out apartment, some people ambushed them and shot them with Kalashnikov automatic firearms, leaving them dead on the spot inside the vehicle.

The incident took place at an invisible bend in a wooded area, about 500 meters before arriving at the burnt flat of Gjokë and Eduart Gurrë. The perpetrators ambushed them after they had the correct information that the two victims were going towards their burnt apartment and there they shot them from a distance with a volley of automatic bullets, causing them to lose their lives instantly.

After making sure that Gjokë Gurra and Eduart Gurra had passed away, the perpetrators left in an unknown direction. One of the main tracks of this investigation is related to the provision of information by the citizen Gjokë Gurra to the state police in the actions for the disposal of cannabis in the area of ​​Dukagjin. Gjokë Gurra was a police officer nearly 20 years ago, but has maintained contacts and relationships with former colleagues. According to the sources, the 57-year-old has from time to time informed the police of Shkodra regarding the plots cultivated with cannabis sativa in Dukagjin. This still remains an officially unconfirmed line of inquiry.

Meanwhile, another investigation track where the police is focused is the timber where the father and son who were killed worked for years, transporting it from Dukagjini to Shkodra, even though this track is less reliable for the investigation group. Meanwhile, other conflicts that Gjokë Gurra and his son may have had with different people are not excluded. The 57-year-old was also the owner of a bar near the Shkodër local police headquarters, where he lived for years.

The perpetrators of this incident have not yet been identified and the police are working to identify and find them. Elucidation of the incident remains difficult because the police arrived after 2-3 hours because the road is amortized in a difficult mountainous terrain, which favored the perpetrators to commit the murder and leave in an unknown direction.
