New details have been revealed from the accident registered yesterday evening on the road axis Tepelenë-Mallakastër, in the village of Malas, where 8 were injured from the collision of two vehicles and two of them were children.

Sources indicate that two of the injured have been sent to the Trauma hospital in Tirana in a serious state of health and one of them is an Italian citizen.

It is learned that the Italian citizen is in intensive care, while the other injured person is under observation.

Yesterday evening at around 20:15, citizen E. Gj., 36 years old, driving a "Benz" type vehicle, collided with a "Renault" type vehicle driven by citizen DL, 32 years old.

As a result of the collision, the two drivers and six passengers were injured, A. Gj., 25 years old, A. Gj., 23 years old, two minor children, 2 years old and 3 years old (passengers of the "Benz" type vehicle); KM, 30 years old, CR, 31 years old, (passengers of the "Renault" type vehicle).

The investigative team is working to clarify the causes of the accident.
