The rains "save" us from the fires, only an active hearth remains

The temperature drops and the rains have influenced the acceleration of the extinguishing of the fires that had invaded the mountainous areas from the north to the south.

According to the announcement of Civil Emergencies, in the last 24 hours, 20 active outbreaks have been reported, of which 19 have been extinguished. The only unextinguished fire is in the village of Shetaj in Durrës, which continues to be active but with low intensity.

According to the data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies in AKMC, 20 fires were reported during the last 24 hours. From which the foci have been extinguished:

in Mal Bardhë village and Skuraj, Kurbin municipality;
in the place called "Pashallare", in Tunjë village, Gramsh municipality;
at the former brick factory, between neighborhood "No. 7" and neighborhood "No. 9", of Durrës municipality;
in the "Shën Vasil" district, Himarë municipality;
in the "Vanë" neighborhood, Delvinë municipality;
in the place called "Gjimočik", Vajzë village, Selenicë municipality;
in the "Babicë" neighborhood, Vlorë municipality;
in the place called "Pigave Mesovun", Delvinë municipality;
in Miliska village, Fushë-Arrëz municipality;
in the village of Reç, Malësi e Madhe municipality;
in the village of Arst, Fushë-Arrëz municipality;
in the Rrethinat administrative unit, Shkodër municipality;
in the villages of Plezhë and Shkjeze, the municipality of Vau-Dejës;
in the place called "Rrashkullaj", Malësi e Madhe municipality;
in the village of Otllak, municipality of Berat;
in Arrëz village, Dimal municipality;
in the village of Kozare, Kuçovo;
in Momël village, Kavajë municipality;
in the village of Floq, municipality of Fier;
During the last 24 hours, 192 operational forces of the Fire Protection and Rescue Service, Armed Forces, municipal forces, police forces, employees of the Administration of Protected Areas, forest service, volunteer forces and 25 fire engines were engaged. Also yesterday, the FA helicopter was engaged in the place called "Pigave Mesovun".

Currently, the foci are active in:

1. In Shetaj village, Durrës municipality, this hearth continues to be active with low intensity, the engagement of the fire service forces continues for its isolation. 
We call on citizens to report to the state police structures any suspected case of intentional arson, as well as to be careful in the use of incendiary devices and any other activity related to fires.

We remind you that deliberate arson is punishable by law.

All the forces and capacities of the Civil Defense system are in full readiness to respond to situations caused by fire or any other emergency.
