Sources for A2 CNN inform that the author, Gjergji Mullalli, killed his wife, Luiza, out of jealousy and then threw her into a septic tank near her apartment.
The perpetrator has managed to leave the scene, as the police have set up checkpoints for his capture.

The 55-year-old worked in construction, while the victim was employed in a tailor shop in Korça. According to the victim's family members, the perpetrator often consumed alcohol. The couple were parents of 3 children, 2 girls and a boy.

The 55-year-old is charged with the criminal offense "Murder due to family relations".

Following the preliminary information given yesterday evening, which is about a murder that happened in the village of Zęblak, Maliq, we inform you that:

The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Life and Person of DVP Korçë, in cooperation with the services of the Malik Police Station, following the procedural actions carried out in connection with this event, referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and declared the citizen Gj. M., 55 years old, resident of the village of Zęblak, for the criminal offense "Murder due to family relations". From the conducted investigations, it is suspected that this citizen, for weak motives, shot dead his wife, a citizen of LM, 46 years old, and then threw her into a septic tank near her apartment.

On the part of the Police, intensive work is continuing to capture the suspected perpetrator and complete documentation of the event.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions ", the Police announcement states.
