Ylli Zalla's testimony in court: The police will kill me, they have put me at odds with the entire area

Ylli Zalla stated in today's court session that he surrendered and was waiting for the arrival of police forces.

"I surrendered. I was waiting for them to come. I was nearby," Zalla declared.

He has accused the State Police and local structures in Tirana and Kruja, claiming that he has entered into enmity with the entire area and that the police forces have intended to kill him.

"The State Police, the Tirana and Kruja Police have put me at odds with the entire area and want to kill me," he declared in the courtroom.

Zalla was arrested on August 17 in Kruja, after a police operation, while today the Tirana courts set the security measure as prison arrest.

This security measure was opposed by his lawyer Dritan Gina, claiming that he does not pose a high risk, as he surrendered himself.
