"These people are lighting the fires themselves" - Taulant Balla denounces the "madness" in the Municipality of Kavaja, by its employees

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has published a video denouncing employees of the Kavajë Municipality. Balla has posted footage where employees of the Municipality are seen setting fire to waste.

As a result, the socialist has called on the State Police and the IKMT to stop what he calls "madness", as in addition to polluting the environment, they risk spreading fires in the city and surrounding agricultural fields.

"While some areas of Albania continue to deal with fires, the madness in the Municipality of Kavaja goes so far that the Municipality employees themselves light fires to burn waste. As you can see in these images, they even bring waste by means of transport from all over the country and burn it at one of the city's entrances (Hospital Overpass).

"Not only is the environment being polluted with smoke and heavy air, from the gases that are released, but this madness risks the spread of fires in the city and the surrounding agricultural fields. It is the duty of the State Police and IKMT to stop this madness. These are environmental crimes and a risk of fires,"  Balla writes.
