Internationally wanted for drug trafficking, 32-year-old arrested in Rinas

A 32-year-old man wanted in Kosovo has been arrested in Rinas.

The Basic Court of Pristina has issued an arrest warrant for Arnold Shehu for drug trafficking. The 32-year-old will be extradited to Kosovo.

Police announcement:

DVP Tirana/The operation codenamed "Wanted" continues, to capture citizens on international wanted list.

A 32-year-old man is accused in Kosovo of criminal activity in the field of narcotics, captured and arrested with the aim of extradition.

At the time of his arrest by the Police, this citizen presented himself with a different identity, to avoid identification and arrest. 

The "Eagle" Special Force services, based on information received in the operational route for the capture of wanted citizens and the exchange of information with Interpol Tirana, have located and captured in Rinas, citizen A. Sh., 32 years old, resident of Kukës. 

This citizen was declared an international wanted person after the Basic Court of Pristina, Kosovo, issued an arrest warrant against him for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics."

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with the Kosovo authorities, will carry out the procedures for the extradition of the 32-year-old to Kosovo.
