The Tirana Court has set the security measure of "prison arrest" for Ylli Zalla, while his defense has requested a lighter measure, opposing the claim that he poses a high social danger.

Zalla's lawyer argued that neither the person nor the act he is suspected of posing a particular danger. According to the defense, the seized weapons and ammunition were found in the back of the apartment, among the thorns, without special measures for their storage or packaging.

The defense also claims that some of the detonators were not functional, while some explosive devices were not connected in the correct way to cause an explosion.

As for the weapons, the lawyer stated that they are old weapons, made in China, from the 1980s. The amount of cannabis seized, according to him, has also been exposed to atmospheric factors and no special care has been taken in its preservation.

The lawyer emphasized that Ylli Zalla is not involved in other criminal events and that there is no evidence that the materials found were used in other events or that he has taken action to sell narcotics.

Another defense argument relates to the manner of his surrender. The lawyer said that, despite the involvement of numerous police forces and the use of drones during the operation, Zalla was not captured by police forces, but decided to surrender himself.

According to the lawyer, he called an officer who was near the apartment, introduced himself and surrendered, in order to clarify his position.

For these reasons, the defense requested that a lighter security measure be imposed on Ylli Zalla, but the court imposed "prison arrest".
