It still remains a mystery who placed the bust of Queen Elizabeth II this morning in Kukës, as the archmortise with the dead body of the British monarch left for her final resting place.

The mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, said that the municipality he leads has nothing to do with this action. In "Euronews Albania" he said that the torso was made of cardboard.

According to him, it was decided by some journalists, or people posing as journalists.

"The truth is that the Municipality of Kukës has no knowledge at all about this issue. It is not the first time that such things appear "online". Those people who did it are a mockery. It is not true that I have declared that I will put on busts. There is a completely legal procedure for this work.

Some people posing as journalists, or are journalists...have decided. I have not even filed a lawsuit that the case has been registered. The cardboard bust is actually a mockery and not at all honest to attach to the Municipality or the people of Kuksi", declared Gjici.
