In the report of the Commissioner against discrimination for 2023, complaints were higher from men than from women.

Out of 359 cases handled by the Commissioner, the highest place is occupied by complaints related to the field of services.

Complaints about discrimination in 2023 were higher from men than from women.

The official data of the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination show that the number of complaints from men was 145, while from women 138.

According to the report, out of 359 cases that were dealt with during 2023, for 344 cases, review has started based on the complaint.

Meanwhile, discrimination in employment and education due to disabilities, political approach, health condition or not receiving public services due to ethnicity lead the problems of Albanian citizens.

Out of 359 cases examined, 201 of them are complaints related to the field of services.

According to the report, it is shown that citizens of national minorities have been denied medical services or economic assistance.

Meanwhile, 144 cases are related to discrimination at work.

In the annual report, the reasons for discrimination are given as the individual's health condition, economic condition or political approach.

As for the geographical extent of complaints, the municipalities from which the largest number of complaints were submitted are: Tirana, Korça, Fieri, followed by Berati, Gjirokastra, Elbasani, Vlora.

Even in the field of education, there have been no shortage of reports of discrimination.

14 complaints have been filed, while ethnicity, economic or health status are given as reasons.
