The Durrës police have arrested a 33-year-old man from the village of Borizane, as the author of placing explosives in a carpentry shop a few days ago.

It is learned that it is about the citizen Alban Qira , who has also planted explosives in this business before.

Police notification: 

Durrës/Zbarden 3 cases of placing explosive material in a furniture store.

The 33-year-old man from Kruja, who 4 days ago, allegedly planted explosives in the outdoor premises of a 48-year-old carpentry shop in the village of Rrashbull, was identified, located and taken into custody.

Also, from the investigations, it is suspected that this citizen, previously convicted for crimes in the field of narcotics, is also the author of 2 other explosions in this business, carried out on 18.11.2023 and 07.03.2024.

There was only partial material damage from the explosions.

2 vehicles and 2 mobile phones of the 33-year-old man, as well as masks and clothing suspected to have been used during the crimes, were seized.

As a result of the in-depth investigative actions conducted at the direction of the Durres Prosecutor's Office, to clarify 3 explosions of explosive materials, carried out during the last 2 years, in the business (furniture) of the citizen AA, 48 years old, in the village of Rrashbull, the structures investigations of the Durrës Police Station enabled the identification, localization, capture and arrest of the suspected author of these cases, citizen AQ, 33 years old, resident in the village of Borizane.

From these actions, it is suspected that on 18.11.2023, 07.03.2024 and 03.04.2024, the citizen AQ placed explosives (artisanal mines) in the outdoor premises of the carpentry of the citizen AA.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.
