Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha stated today that the criminal events that have taken place in the country are beyond imagination.

Berisha said at the beginning of the meeting at the blue headquarters for the election of the leaders of the Democratic Party, that the testimonies of Nuredin Dumani prove the connections of the gangs with the highest levels of the Albanian government.

"This is a procedural meeting in which we will elect the main leaders of the Democratic Party. Procedures should not prevent us from seeing the dramatic Albanian reality. Because today the developments in this country surpass any kind of imagination. Today Albania is completely in the hands of crime, only the events of last week show that in Shkodra, crime and police are one, that crime hits every corner of the country, while the testimonies of Duman, the serial killer of government gangs which go hand in hand will be made public, prove the connections of these gangs at the highest levels of government today, prove their dominance over the mafia state, cross-referenced with the data of the prosecutions of the Benelux countries. "Albania turns out, its ministers and directors, prosecutors and judges turn out to be slaves to crime", said Berisha.
