Great pain has gripped the family of the two Dhimaku sisters who tragically lost their lives in the accident in Saranda after their car was hit by the car of 23-year-old Kevin Norra, who turned out to be under the influence of alcohol.
Elvisa and Rezina had left home on the evening of August 24 to go to Saranda, where they worked to help their family, but 30 minutes after leaving the apartment, their family was notified of the tragedy.
While words fail to describe the tragedy they are experiencing, the girls' aunt, uncle and cousin, speaking to Top Channel correspondent Mikel Marsi, appeal for help to the family in treating their only 7-year-old son, who is suffering from leukemia.
They say he still doesn't know the news of his two sisters' deaths, and they have even removed him from the apartment so he doesn't understand what happened. They add that the youngest of the family was very attached to his two sisters, 22 and 20 years old, and that they fear his health will deteriorate when he learns of their loss.
"We live in such great pain, I can't talk much. My two maids left, they're not coming back. In the evening, the maids had gone out to finish work. They were working two jobs to help their brother recover. They came home from work, calmed down and went to work again because they worked in Saranda, selling corn.... 30 minutes after they left, the news came. They left!
"The boy doesn't know anything about this, he was very attached to them. We have removed him from the house. Anyone who can help us cure the boy and save him," their aunt said through tears.
Calls for help to save the life of the 7-year-old boy have been responded to by the "Firdeus Foundation" and the show "Albanians for Albanians" broadcast on Top Channel./ TCH
