The Municipality of Vlora gives Mira Murati the title of "Honorary Citizen", mother: Mira follows with interest what happens in Albania and Vlora

The Municipality of Vlora today honored Mira Murati, the businesswoman, leader and innovative pioneer of technology and artificial intelligence OpenAI, and currently the founder of the well-known start-up "Thinking Machines Lab", with the title of "Honorary Citizen".

Along with him, tenor Josif Gjipali was also honored with the same title.

The ceremony took place at the city's "Petro Marko" Theater, attended by local leaders and citizens.

Mira Murati was not present herself, but the title was withdrawn on her behalf by her mother, who expressed her gratitude.

In her speech, among other things, she said:

"Thank you Vlora, the city where Mira was born and raised. We also thank you as a family. Even though Mira now lives and works abroad, she follows with great attention and interest the developments and path of Albania and her city, Vlora. On behalf of Mira and our family, I express my deepest gratitude to Albania and Vlora for this recognition and I wish you all success in your work and contribution to the city."
