Authorities lose battle with fires

The fires in our country have gotten out of control and are now beyond the capabilities of local and central authorities to cope with.

Thus, unable to control the fires, the authorities have begun evacuating residents.

Following orders to evacuate residents from 6 villages in Gramsh, a similar order has been issued for residents of several units in Poliçan.

The Ministry of Defense urges residents in Vokopolë, ?apokika, Plasnik and Panari, as well as areas within the "Balloll" Protected Reserve, to immediately leave their homes and cooperate with authorities for safe evacuation.

This afternoon, the first victim from the fires in the country was registered, an 80-year-old man from Gramsh.
