Begaj reacts to the fire situation in the country: Residents should contribute side by side with firefighters

President Bajram Begaj has reacted with concern to the fire situation in the country.

In a reaction on social media, he calls on citizens, especially in critical areas, to cooperate with authorities to ensure their safety.

Further, the president thanks the engaged personnel and the countries that have assisted Albania with aircraft and other equipment.

"I am following with deep concern the critical situation caused by the fires that our country is facing. In these challenging moments, I want to call for maximum awareness from each of us, showing caution, commitment and responsibility."

I invite all citizens, especially residents of the Gramsh Municipality, Skënderbegë Administrative Unit, where the situation is even more critical, to cooperate and contribute side by side with civil emergency structures, firefighters, the Armed Forces and the police, who are working and sacrificing to protect lives, property and wealth.

Our support for them, in every possible form, is vital.

"On behalf of all Albanians, I thank all the personnel involved, and express deep gratitude for the assistance we are receiving from friendly countries, including the sending of helicopters and specialized equipment ," was President Begaj's reaction.
