The well-known Greek entrepreneur Dimitra Katsafadou has fallen prey to a robbery that was shrouded in mystery. An amount of 290,000 euros was stolen from her. According to what TeNea reports, the theft happened on February 17, 2023 by Dimitra Katsafado's assistant, a 32-year-old originally from Albania. The 32-year-old stole the sum of 290,000 euros from the well-known businesswoman from her residence in Northeast Attica.
Then it turns out that the author, after grabbing the amount of money, left the country, where she was located and arrested in Great Britain.
An international arrest warrant was issued against the Albanian. After being caught, the 32-year-old woman apologized and was released on bail.
Help to discover this case was the testimony of another employee of Dimitra Katsafado, who said that she saw the defendant holding two green garbage bags in her hands, in which she had placed 290 thousand euros.
"When I arrived home, a silver-red car was parked outside and an unknown man was talking on a cell phone outside the vehicle. I asked him why he was here and he replied that he was waiting for the accused", said the nurse.
“I then entered the house with my keys, but at the door I met the accused, who was holding green bags in her hands, similar to those used to hold the company's sum of money. She gave these bags to the unknown man, who was waiting in the car," she declared.
A person from the family environment of Dimitra Katsafadou has declared to the Police that the defendant was a confidant of the businesswoman. "The defendant has been an employee of the company for about two years and was a trusted person for Katsafadou. Although she took care of the house and sometimes lived there, she didn't have the keys and it wasn't her job to do any work managing the company's money. But she knew the closet where the money was kept inside the house and had information about the location of the key that opens that closet," said the family members of the stolen businesswoman.
Speaking to MEGA, Dimitra Katsafado's brother, Nikos Malakodimos, emphasized that he filed a lawsuit on the same day that the theft was discovered. "The label came to take fingerprints, they saw that the amount of money was missing. The accused girl was found crossing the border on the same day in Albania," said Malakodimos. The businessman's brother also told where the money comes from. "It is money that exists in a company and is deposited in banks because it is from the retail sale of the company," he said.
