The Police Supervision Agency has arrested a deputy commissioner in Elbasan.

This is Edison Pemaj, who is suspected of the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property."

According to AMP, the police officer lent money at interest to various people and then, through violence or threats, demanded the return of large sums of money.

During the operation, five vehicles of recent production years, owned by individuals involved in this illegal activity, were seized.

Investigations are continuing to identify other people involved in this criminal scheme.
