The police have arrested Henri Gjapi, who is accused of manslaughter. The 26-year-old was caught in Rinas while trying to return to Albania.

"This citizen was declared wanted, after the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Manslaughter", announced the police.

The serious incident for which Gjapi is accused happened on March 31 in the area of ​​the former Block. He had a conflict with 46-year-old Gentian Talja. The fight between them happened in the early hours of the morning after they had both left different bars and were in a drunken state.

41-year-old Artur Gjolena also intervened in this conflict, who, according to the police, hit Gjapi. But the latter had thrown hard punches at Talje. The 46-year-old man lost consciousness after a few minutes and fell to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement.

He was taken to the hospital, but after a few hours he went into a coma until he passed away a few days ago. Their entire fight was filmed by a security camera. Also, everyone involved in this fight did not know each other and the meeting on the street was accidental.

26-year-old Gjapi was accompanied to the police while the victim was in the hospital, but was released. At first, the incident was referred to serious injury, but after the death of the 46-year-old, it was classified as manslaughter. After that, Gjapi was declared wanted, while Artur Gjolena was processed at large.
