SPAK informed this Sunday that two more people have been handcuffed after the arrest of the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Joana Duro.

"Within the investigation of criminal proceedings no. 10/1 of 2023, the investigators of the National Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the General Directorate of the State Police executed on 06.03.2023 and 06.04.2023 the orders of the Prosecution of Especially against the citizens of VT and S. Sh., suspected of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", in collaboration, provided for by articles 245 and 25 of the Criminal Code", announced SPAK.

After carrying out the investigative actions, the suspicion was created that the value obtained irregularly from Duro was given as a bribe by VT, administrator of the economic operator "Dri..." sh.pk, with the aim of illegally benefiting from the developed tender in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, with object "Lot 1 "Supervision for the reconstruction of some Health Centers in the districts of Tirana and Durrës".

Also, evidence has been gathered that creates the suspicion that the citizen S. Sh., with the duty of engineer at the economic operator "Dri..." sh.pk, after having received the monetary value of 330,000 (three hundred and thirty thousand) ALL from the apartment of the VT citizen, was then sent to Laura Sheto, the procurement specialist, who was the person who knew and was in contact with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. Sheto was also put in handcuffs for the case.
