The tender worth 388 million ALL for the accommodation of Turkish doctors of the
Fier Memorial Hospital

The Ministry of Health has canceled the tender with a fund value of 388 million ALL for the accommodation of Turkish doctors and nurses who will serve in the Memorial Hospital in Fier.

According to the notification, the reason for the cancellation of the tender was made pursuant to Article 98 of Law no. 162/2020, dated 23.12.2020 "On Public Procurement", with the justification that in the first phase no suitable bid was submitted. The winning hotel, which will accommodate Turkish doctors, had to meet certain conditions, including English-speaking staff.

From the budget of the Albanian government are planned to spend about 300 thousand euros for the accommodation of the Turkish staff for a period of one year. According to the published contract, the maximum number of people who will sleep in the hotel will be 38.

In addition to accommodation, Turkish staff receive a monthly stipend from the Albanian state, which is three times the salary of Albanian doctors and nurses.
