The President of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaçaj, says that she has no information regarding some allegations that judges of this institution are being wiretapped.

At a media conference, where she presented the annual report of this institution, she stated that she had written to the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, for information, regarding any report or investigation against any judge.

Zaçaj said that the Court supports every activity of law enforcement bodies in the exercise of their jurisdiction, emphasizing, " always in accordance with the powers recognized by the Constitution and the law ."

" Regarding your question, the Court has no information regarding what has been written about a possible or alleged wiretapping of the judges of the Constitutional Court."

After being informed about this news, the body decided to address Mr. Altin Dumani with a request for information, for any report or investigation against any judge, as long as the alleged actions refer to a specific decision-making of the Court to which SPAK itself is a party.

The letter was officially sent on Wednesday, February 19. We still do not have an official response from that institution.

Meanwhile, as President of the Constitutional Court, I informed Mr. Dumani that I have not been informed by any judge of any interference or exercise of any form of inappropriate influence by lawyers, political or public officials or other entities, based on Article 10, point 3, of the organic law.

"The Court supports every activity of law enforcement bodies in the exercise of their jurisdiction, always in accordance with the powers recognized by the Constitution and the law ," Zaçaj replied.
