Ana Veizi confesses through tears 13 years after her father's murder: I pray that this matter will not drag on with slow steps anymore, it is approaching the place where her father was killed 13 years ago in the middle of the boulevard.
On this 13th commemoration of January 21st, the pain has not stopped. The years pass quickly, continuing to produce tears in the families of the four victims. Ana Veizi, daughter of Ziver Veizi, in a long story interviewed for the "Exclusive" program on Top Channel by journalist Muhamed Veliu, with strong emotions tells what it means to grow up alone, after the bullets of the Republic Guard took her father's life, leaving him orphaned along with his brother, Keid.
Muhamed Veliu: Ana, you often pass by this place where your father was killed on January 21, 2011. How do you feel every time you pass here?
Ana Veizi: Actually, it is very difficult for me every time I pass here. Since I live in Tirana, I often stop at this place and it brings back bad memories. I get anxiety. I feel very bad. I burst into tears and left.
Muhamed Veliu: How do you amortize the anxiety about the absence of your father?
Ana Veizi: I try to convince myself that one day the truth will be revealed. I miss him a lot, I feel an unfulfilled part of myself, a very big void, especially now that I have grown up. That when I was little, I didn't think about things that long. But today, being older, the responsibilities, sorrows, joys, become greater. I would need a hug, some advice, to tell me I'm not alone. My longing and missing him will never go away. I will never get used to it.
Muhamed Veliu : So, the vacuum left by your father in your life is irreparable?
Ana Veizi: Absolutely yes. It has been everything to me. I'm having a hard time getting used to this idea of justice delayed. When my father passed away, I was only 10 years old. I have his image, I have the image here, it never leaves my mind. There are times when I wake up with this image from my sleep. If I knew I would never see him again, I would give him a hug. I could once again feel his scent, his warmth.
The key to doing justice is not pretending we don't see or don't know things, says Ana.
"I know that a lot of evidence has been deleted, if not all of it. But, I believe there are still witnesses that need to be questioned. There is still evidence to come to a resolution in the case of January 21.
If it were up to Anna and other family members, January 21 would be a commemoration for the Martyrs of the Motherland and not a loud demand for justice. Years pass, things have not changed. I hope they change, but we, as a family, have never hesitated to seek justice. However, I hope and pray that this matter will not drag on any longer.
He still does not sleep peacefully with the thought that his soul is still not at rest. But, I say with the greatest sincerity that I have never lied to myself, hoping for justice. I will never get used to his absence."
I hope that justice will be done as soon as possible, appeals Ana Veizi./TCH
