Accused of abusing tenders for the supervision of four police stations, the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Plarent Ndreca, is the only one of the 15 defendants who has not requested a summary trial.

Through his lawyer, the former socialist MP has requested to be tried under ordinary procedure and, on the other hand, to transfer the case to the Tirana Criminal Court, since he has lost the status of a special subject.

This Monday, the court hearing was postponed for procedural reasons, while the case has been moved to trial on the merits.

Plarent Ndreca has been indicted by SPAK for the criminal offense of "violation of equality in public tenders or auctions".

The procedures for this tender were carried out at the time when the Ministry of Interior was headed by Sandër Lleshaj.
