Alma Shehi says that she lost her mother and three relatives in a serious accident that happened in 2019, in Papër, Elbasan. On the day of the funeral ceremony, the lawyer Ardian Dauti appeared in the victim's family, who presented the relatives with the possibility of compensation from this accident.

After two years, lawyer Dauti closed the compensation agreement with the insurance company and the 4 family members, living in Canada, were to receive the agreed amount through the banks. However, it has been two years and the money has not been transferred to the beneficiaries.

Alma Shehi : The reason I am contacting you is because in September 2019, a fatal accident occurred in our family, where we lost our mother, our aunt, our aunt's aunt, 28 years old, and our uncle's daughter-in-law. In the first days of the funeral, the lawyer Ardian Dauti came to our house, where we signed a contract for him to take care of the insurance issue in this accident. We had no contact of any kind from him until October 2021, where I contacted him and asked him where I stand on the matter so far and what has been done so far. After we contacted, talked to each other, got all the information he needed to proceed with the case and the case is finally closed in October 2022. Since this moment, we have not received the benefited amount, even though the lawyer told me that he tried to send it to Albanian banks, to Canadian banks, where I, my sisters and my brother are. But it's impossible, it's causing problems and I don't know why. What I am asking you is to understand where the problem really lies.

The journalist of "Stop" learned that there is no legal obstacle for the transfer of sums from Albania, in this case to Canada. Even the bank employee says that there is no problem with the transfer of the amount. The journalist had a meeting with the lawyer and the latter again raised obstacles.

Ardian Dauti: Ooo this quadruple case. They don't come to take the money, brother...

Journalist: No, you told him that the bank doesn't go through, there is a problem with the bank, why don't the money go. I also consulted the Bank of Albania and Abi Bank...

Ardian Dauti: I went to BKT, they didn't accept me, they didn't even accept my mandate. I went to Abi Bank, they took it from me, returned it to the Paris Municipality.

Journalist: Yes, the idea is, I will talk to a bank manager and we will make the transfer there. Do we do it with solutions?

Ardian Dauti: Who do you want brother! With pleasure...

Journalist: Let's leave it at that?

Ardian Dauti: Directly! The crime! I will keep other people's money...

Journalist: So, I'm telling you.

Ardian Dauti : I want to go to the bank, what do you tell me? If they didn't spend the money, you will interview me and deal with the bank, not with me...!

At the moment when it seemed that the case was resolved, the lawyer Ardian Dauti found another alibi, in order not to pass the money. He sent the funds to the bank we suggested, along with the agreement, but does not hand over the contract he has with the clients, in the name of confidentiality.

Alma Shehi: Finally, the lawyer sends the money to the bank, leaving only the agreement contract to the bank, which refers to our information, but does not leave the order contract, which is the main document that the bank needs to transfer the funds from Albanian bank in Canadian bank. The lawyer makes the excuse that this document is confidential, but as long as our information is all in the agreement contract, I don't know where the problem is in between.

We appealed to the National Chamber of Advocates to investigate the work of this lawyer who has problems with clients.
