An Albanian has lost his life in a tragic accident recorded in the early hours of this morning in Italy.

Italian media reports that the victim is 21-year-old Xhemal Letija. The event happened around 01:30 at night, near the cemetery of Besozzo, in the province of Varese.

He was driving when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. Despite the efforts of the emergency services to save the young man, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the moment there is no evidence of the involvement of other vehicles in the fatal accident, as the most likely hypotheses being examined by law enforcement agencies are the driver falling asleep or perhaps an attempt to avoid an animal on the road.

The Italian authorities have launched investigations to clarify the circumstances of the serious event.
