A serious incident occurred on Sunday evening in the state of Michigan, USA, where a 44-year-old Albanian man was shot and killed outside the restaurant where he worked. The victim has been identified as Francesk Shkambi, a resident of Howell, who was the manager and co-owner of the Prime 7 restaurant in Commerce Township.

According to reports in American media, the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. local time, when Shkambi was found seriously injured on the porch of the bar. He was transported to the hospital, but died a short time later from gunshot wounds.

About 20 minutes after the incident, a 65-year-old Farmington Hills man surrendered to police and was placed in handcuffs without resistance. Investigators seized a 9mm pistol believed to be the murder weapon; authorities said it had been previously stolen.

Police say the victim and the perpetrator knew each other personally and that there was a conflict between them that had escalated recently. The exact cause of the clash between them has not yet been made public, while the case is expected to be forwarded to the prosecution for charges to be filed.

Family members and restaurant staff have described Shkambi as a loving, hardworking and dedicated man to the community. The Prime 7 restaurant announced that it would remain closed following the incident due to the serious incident.

As public records show, he was a relative of Elvis Shkambi, the 30-year-old who killed Judge Astrit Kalaja inside the courtroom in Tirana on October 6.

Francesk Shkambi was the person who opened a GoFundMe campaign a few weeks ago to raise funds to help Elvis and Gjon Shkambi, introducing himself as their family member. The campaign sought financial support for “professional and independent legal defense,” and managed to raise over $8,000.
