17-year-old girl taken to hospital with bullet in head, incident revealed: Father arrested

Police investigations have uncovered the serious incident that occurred on Monday in the city of Vlora, where a 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital by her family with a bullet in her head.

According to the blue uniforms, the 17-year-old attempted to end her life after family disputes.

The State Police informs that within the framework of the investigations conducted by the Prosecutor's Office, the girl's father, citizen SS, 43 years old, resident of the village of Roma, was arrested in flagrante delicto. He is accused of the criminal offenses of "Domestic Violence" and "Causing Suicide".

The father is suspected of having abused his daughter, which forced her, in a severe psychological state, to attempt suicide with a firearm, suspected to be a pistol.

The minor's grandfather, who is accused of the criminal offense of "Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons", has also been released on bail, as he is suspected of having possessed the firearm with which the girl attempted suicide.

Authorities continue the search to find the firearm, which is suspected to have been hidden by the family members after the incident, and further investigative actions are being carried out to fully document the circumstances of the incident.

The 17-year-old is in the Trauma Hospital, being kept under the care of doctors in critical condition.

The investigative materials have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora for further action.
