"All Albanians have only one message; Edi Rama leave!" this message was conveyed by the General Secretary of the Democratic Party (DP), Flamur Noka, in a statement to the media from Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard. He stated that the DP is in support of the students' demands.
"We will support the students. All Albanians have only one message; Edi Rama, go away! You cannot hold power by force. No one supports you anymore. Other dictators have also attempted it with police violence, but you know what the end is. This is the motto on the basis of which this national protest of the DP has been called. Their demand must be respected, their voice will be heard. The DP will support the students. We gathered here and the protest will continue with the students in the square where they started the battle," he said.
Asked about the anti-gathering measures, Noka said: " Ceausescu tried to survive with repressive measures and today everyone knows the end of Ceausescu. This people has broken the savage wall of dictatorship in the '90s and there is no wall that Edi Rama can build to keep the momentum of the youth. Albanians today are seeking a state and they are all on their feet."
