The Greek Cup final between AEK and PAOK will take place at the Volos stadium in Greece. This is the decision of the Executive Committee in the Greek Football Federation. After many discussions and three countries that opened their doors to Greece, the Pantheliko stadium will host the match on May 24 at 20:00. The Greek Federation has left the possibility open to "Elbasan Arena", that if something unforeseen happens and the final cannot be played in Volos, the duel will be moved to Elbasan, with Albania being the second option.
For days, the Greek Federation was in discussions with several countries for a stadium, while the fear of violent acts is still present. The Hellenic police had not taken over such a duel, while now the mayor of Volos has opened the way for the duel to take place without fans.
From each club, 400 invitations will be distributed to officials or fans who are not problematic, with the stairs being empty for this match. We remind you that even the police in Cyprus did not take over this duel, while for days the Albanian Football Federation had given "ok" for the duel to be played at "Elbasan Arena".
Everything has already been answered, with the match to be played in Greece. However, posting the duel in Elbasan is still a possibility, if the situation with the hooligans in the days before the match is not calm. Apart from Albania, Romania and Poland also agreed to host the match.
