The Albanian Cup final is determined today

The finalists of the 72nd edition of the Albanian Cup will be determined tonight. Dinamo-Vllaznia and Partizani-Egnatia will play at 19:00.

The team from Rrogozhina are the reigning champions of the competition, as they look to maintain their winning streak of the Cup for the third time in a row. A success that Edlir Tetova's team aims to repeat in a season where they have totally dominated Albanian football.

But, to achieve this, they must overcome the one-goal deficit from the first leg. Referring to the previous edition, Egnatia won the championship, the Cup and then the Super Cup, a form they are looking to repeat. However, they will face Partizan, with the trophy missing from their trophy cabinet for 21 years.

The cup is also considered a salvation for the Reds' season, as they are currently not sure of their participation in the championship's final four. Partizani has won it 15 times, while Egnatia has won it twice.

Dinamo-Vllaznia is the other semi-final match. The goalless draw in the first leg makes this challenge even more interesting, which could require extra time, but also penalties if the 90 minutes end in a draw.

Shkodranët have been missing from the final since 2022, having won the Cup 8 times in total. The path is more complicated for Dinamo, champions on 13 occasions. The Blue Submarine last lifted the trophy in 2003, while losing the title in the 2010-2011 season.
