Albania has started the qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup with a loss. The Reds were defeated 2-0 by England at "Wembley", in a difficult match.

The Albanian national team confirmed the difficulties facing the "Three Lions", as this is the seventh defeat in history, in as many matches played.

The goals for the home team were scored by Lewis-Skelly in the 20th minute and Harry Kane in the 77th minute.

It is worth noting that Albania showed improvement in the second half, where they provided some sparks for the equalizer, with Broja and Asani, before the home team's second goal.

The next challenge for Albania will be against Andorra on Monday, March 24, at the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium in Tirana and victory is a must.
