The Albanian national team led by Edy Reja has revealed the list of 23 footballers gathered for the friendly match with Saudi Arabia on October 26.
Only 9 footballers come from foreign championships, as this is not a free date from UEFA even though the latter has given approval to play. The rest, 14 footballers have been collected from the Albanian Superliga.
Elhan Kastrati, Gentian Selmani and Arlis Shala have been chosen in goal. In defense, Albion Marku, Erdenis Gurishta, Andi Hadroj, Esin Hakaj, Rudolf Turkaj, Stivian Janku, Arndit Toli, Eneo Bitri and Mario Mitaj.
In the midfield, coach Reja has sent an invitation to Esat Mala, Sherif Kallaku, Lrenco Vila, Arbnor Muçolli, Ardit Deli, Arinaldo Rrapaj and Odise Roshi, who returns to the national team after a long time.
Sokol Cikalleshi and Bekim Balaj will be supported by Redon Xhixha and Bekim Balaj in attack.
Meanwhile, for the match on October 26, which will be played at 16:30 with the Albanian one, some previously unheard details have been revealed.
The Saudi Arabia-Albania friendly will not be broadcast live on any television, and moreover, no cameras will be allowed in the Abu Dhabi stadium. That's because Saudi Arabia wants to be unknown to opponents at the World Cup, a competition that starts on November 20 in Qatar.
The representative will start the gathering on October 22 at the Tropikal complex in Durrës and on October 24 will travel to Abu Dhabi where preparations for the friendly duel will continue.
Below is the complete list with the names of the 23 players invited to the National Team for the October 26 friendly:
