Distria Krasniqi was defeated in the final of the Paris 2024 Olympics by Uzbekistan judoka Diyora Keldiyorova, securing the silver medal in the 52-kilogram category.
Krasniqi and Keldiyorova had a history of confrontations, where the Asian judoka had emerged as the winner before.
Krasniqi reached the final after a semi-final against Italian judoscopy, Odette Giufrida, who he defeated with "Golden Score."
Her performance has been impressive since the start of the races. In her first match, she defeated the Indonesian judoka Maryam March Maharani, who she defeated only thirty-seven seconds later. In the second round, Krasniqi defeated Israeli judoscop Gefen Primo, securing his place in the semi-finals.
The bronze medal in this category was won by French judolist Amandine Buchard, who showed a strong performance throughout the races.
