Edi Reja is no longer the coach of the Slovenians of ND Gorica. The news was confirmed by the club itself through a post on the official website, as the former coach of the red and black national team was immediately replaced by the 50-year-old of Albanian origin Agron Salja.
The four consecutive defeats in the championship proved fatal for Reja, as the Gorica team is positioned in the penultimate place with 22 points in 31 games, the same as the last place held by Tabor and 9 points less than the third team from the bottom.
As for the new "helmsman", Agron Salja, in the past he led the U-17 and U-19 national teams of Slovenia as well as the Celje team in a total of 20 games. As a fubol player, the 50-year-old was also part of the teams of Domzale, Triglav, etc. The 50-year-old is a good connoisseur of the Slovenian championship.
