DP Chairman Sali Berisha spoke about the national protest he called in front of Parliament on Thursday.

At a meeting held in Lezha, he responded to the Tirana protesters, stating that he has no intention of taking the lead of the rally taking place in the capital.

"There is a protest in Tirana. Our stance has been, is based on a morally correct stance: first, we did not call it and we do not take the lead, second, we support it with all our strength, we do everything so that it does not become divided and is not manipulated."

On Thursday we called a special national protest, but a civic protest. Why are we calling such a protest? Because, as you have seen for yourself, in a series of municipalities the protests are civic, democrats and socialists are demanding their municipality.

In parliament the day after tomorrow, citizens of all political persuasions will be there to defend a right, to defend the local government necessary for citizens.

From Lezha I invite Albanians to the parliament at 10 am on Thursday.

"Edi Rama's reform, an anti-citizen, anti-Albanian reform, a reform with which he seeks to abandon Albania even more," said Berisha.
