Since yesterday, the public in Albania was informed about a new agreement between the Rama government and Meloni's government in Italy. According to the inexhaustible reports of the Italian media and Albanian sources, about 36 thousand immigrants are expected to be sheltered in the two camps that, according to them, will be set up in Shengjin and Gjadër.
Gogo.al publishes the hitherto undisclosed agreement between the Albanian and Italian governments.

What is learned is that the agreement will last 5 years but can be extended by another 5 years and only one center will be built to receive the immigrants. The landing port will be Shengjini, while Gjadri will be the camp where their accommodation will be built. The maximum capacity of the number that the center will host in Albania cannot be more than 3 thousand immigrants, even though there will be constant movement of them, new arrivals and departures. The immigrants will wait for the answer for asylum from the Italian authorities in the structure that will be built by the Italians, just as the structure for the accommodation of the Albanian auxiliary personnel will be built by the Italians.
The expenses for this political decision, as it has been reported so far, will be borne by Italy, but what is the amount of this entire operation?
Italy will pay our country the first fund in the amount of 16.5 million euros ( download the document ), within 3 months. It is anticipated that over 100 million euros will be frozen in a second level bank account as a guarantee.
Italy assumes all expenses for hospital care according to the Albanian legislation, after the administration of the hospital treatments of the Albanian side. Likewise, Italy assumes 100% of the cost provided in the relevant contracts for the purchase of medical equipment and drugs, including vaccines, for which Albania documents the use as well as 100% of the purchase cost, previously approved by the Italian authorities, of the items and various services.
But what does Albania make available besides land and health care when it is learned that all expenses will be paid by Italy in the amount of 16.5 million euros? Albania will accompany the emigrants with its police and will make the armed forces available as the case may be.
The issue of immigrants appears complex, where it seems that a number of provisions take place even in the agreement between the two states, as well as potentially including legal commitments for protection before international courts. The costs of which, it is known, are taken by Italy, but there is still a point that arouses debate, it is enough to remember the spectacular failures that Albania has made in international trials.
Confidential sources in Albania confirm for Gogo.al that a number of benefits will come with this agreement that the citizens found uninformed after the prime minister's own denials that he would ever accept immigrants to Albania.
Behind the scenes, the generation of some ambitious projects for our country is being discussed with the support of the Italians. What is predicted to happen next, sources say, are millions of euros that will benefit about 500 thousand Albanians in Italy for their pensions.
