The joint meeting between the two Assemblies, that of Albania and Kosovo, has started, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Independence of Albania.

Today's date marks a historic event, as it is the first time that a joint meeting is held between the two Assemblies. In the Assembly, the two Prime Ministers are next to each other, but also the two Speakers of the Assembly, while the deputies are also sitting mixed in the hall.

At the start of the session, lawmakers from both countries stood up to honor the national anthems of the two countries before the extraordinary plenary session began.

The first to take the floor is the Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Lindita Nikolla, who will be followed by her counterpart, the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca.

The meeting will continue with the speech of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who will be followed by his counterpart, Albin Kurti. The chairmen of the parliamentary groups of the Assembly of Albania and the Assembly of Kosovo will also give a speech of greeting.
