Minister Ogerta Manastirliu has announced the latest decisions of the government where, according to her, from October 1 women heads of families with two children will receive double economic support.

In a communication to the media, the minister said that also for the disabled, an increase in support of 1,000 new lek is foreseen to cover the price of electricity, while also part of this package are people over 65 years old who do not they get a pension.

"We have adopted several decisions, it is determined that from October 1, the economic aid will increase by 10% for all families that benefit from social assistance. From October 1, the payment for economic assistance is doubled for families that have 2 children and are part of the economic assistance, which are about 5,700 female heads of families with two children.

Families who are beneficiaries of economic assistance with 3+ children, we have doubled our assistance since January. For the elderly without an old-age pension, the economic assistance is doubled, more than 5300 elderly people benefit.

For platforms with disabilities, the support measure has been increased by 7.5%, today another decision was made regarding electricity support, the support measure for electricity compensation is increased to 3 thousand new lek. while for persons who have blind status of the second category, it goes to 2400 new lek", she said.
