The decision to expand the Agro-Food Market in Elbasan, a property registered in the name of Petrit Çela, Suel Çela 's father , has been approved not only by the Socialists, but also by opposition representatives in the Municipal Council.

Blendi Himçi , the chairman of the Democratic Party of Elbasan, is seen voting in favor of approving the decision to expand the market, a permit granted on January 24 by the Municipality of Elbasan.

This market, the only one of its kind in the city, has been put at the center of public debate due to the accusations against Suel Çela, who was declared wanted by SPAK as the head of a suspected criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, assassinations, money laundering, and the corruption of local officials.

The Elbasan Municipal Council approved the permit with the argument that it will help develop the agricultural sector and increase cooperation between farmers.

The socialist mayor of Elbasan, Gledian Llatja, described this as a "standard procedure," emphasizing that there were no legal obstacles for the company to obtain the permit.

" A request was made by a private entity, on private property, for the construction of a public market and it was approved by the Municipal Council, as it requires a permit from the Council ," said Llatja.
